Kay Douglass is an Australian (Sydney) born, American raised, since the age of 3, retired dancer and model.
Before hanging up her dancing shoes Kay returned to school and earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications with a minor in Print Journalism. Soon after she became the Managing Editor of Joseph E Clay Dot Com’s online magazine, The Corral.
Kay’s dancing took her all over the world.
After graduating high school, with her parents blessing Kay moved from Valdosta, Georgia to New York to study music, theater and dance. She was in New York on September 11, 2001.
After the attacks her mother and father along with her older sister returned to Australia. Kay and her older brother stayed in the states to finish their education.
Some of Kay’s fondest memories are when her dancing took her back to Sydney and she got to perform in front of her parents, who were always in the front row.
Kay after a stent in Hollywood moved to Las Vegas in the last years of her twenties. She settled there and worked as a showgirl for several years.
As Kay was approaching 30 she decided to return to school and study Journalism. Once her degree was earned 4 years later she hung up her dancing shoes and moved from Las Vegas to Cody, Wyoming where she now resides with her horses.
Kay is a crossword puzzle junkie working at least two a day as a way of relaxing. She is involved in her community and enjoys helping others.
